Katherine & Mark

Katherine & Mark were married in Hastings (by Katherine’s dad no less) and after some portraits in the beautiful ancient port town of Rye, we tripped back to beachside restaurant The Gallivant to celebrate.

Now, to plan a beach wedding in the UK is certainly brave; you have to roll with the punches the weather dishes out and Katherine and Mark certainly did that. The skies were grey, the wind whipped and the wonderful sussex sands of Camber were rain drenched by the time we arrived. Still, these two were too busy having a good time to mind. After lots of fun mingling and some delicious food, there was at last a break in the wet weather just long enough for the three of us to climb through the soggy dunes with bare feet and take some amazing portraits (some of my favourite ones ever I think).

Here’s how it all looked.

All photographs are film Kodak Portra 400 & Ilford Delta 400.
